The Transylvanian Saxon population has been steadily decreasing since World War II as they started massively leaving the territory of present-day Romania during and after World War II, relocating initially to Austria, then predominantly to southern Germany (especially in Bavaria). The imigration to Austria is kinda interesting, because Austria after the WW2 was really keen on the idea of non-Germany Germans (not from the current borders of Germany) imigrating to the country.
