Here we can talk about another ethnic group in the area – Hungarians. Tramsylvania was a aprt of Hungary until the end of the WW1 and the Treaty of Trianon and although the region was mostly Romanian-speaking back then as well, it had some areas with Hungarian, including an „island” of Harghita and Covasna județs (as well as a large part of Mures județ, which is however overall majority Romanian today).
