The Stolichna Municipality (Столична община, Capital Municipality) in Sofia City Province, is the municipality that encapsules Sofia. It is a metropolitan municipality of sorts, as it doesn't just consists of City of Sofia, but also 35 villages and 2 towns. These are now considered something between a district and a town, raions.
