The terminus is situated on the European side of İstanbul, in Bayrampaşa district (although it's named after Esenler district nearby). It occupies 242k m², which is… quite a lot. It's definitely one of the largest intercity bus terminals in the world[citation strongly needed, but I'm too lazy to check]. It has 324 platforms. Well, our intercity bus terminal in Gdańsk has like 12 I think, although there are also some platforms down next to the main railway station.
