Deutsche Orientbank (German Bank of the Orient), founded in 1905-1906 in Berlin and merged into Dresdner Bank in 1931-1932. It was intended for financing ventures in the Ottoman Empire and in Ottoman Egipt. This was its main branch in the city, designed by Prussian architect and completed in 1912. It was known as Germanya Han (Germany's commercial building). Following a renovation in 2021, it has become the Orientbank Hotel Istanbul.
