It's time to head back to Düsseldorf, I am going to use the S-Bahn, as the stop in Düsseldorf is closer to my hotel. Düsseldorf, Wuppertal, Ruhrgebiet and Köln with Bonn are part of the same S-Bahn network: Rhine-Ruhr S-Bahn. It is mostly operated by DB Regio NRW, but the line S28 is operated by Regiobahn and S7 by Abellio Rail NRW, the same company that operates on some REx lines in the state. The most common headway is 20 minutes, but this was the Sunday evening and I had to wake up pretty early, so yeah. The S-Bahn operates in the areas of the Verkehrsverbund Rhein-Ruhr and Verkehrsverbund Rhein-Sieg tariff associations, touching areas of the Aachener Verkehrsverbund (AVV) at Düren and Westfalentarif at Unna. The network was established in 1967 with a line connecting Ratingen Ost to Düsseldorf-Garath. (previous | next | back to album | 2020:09:27 21:20:43 | 98% of an album)
