Waterloo tube station, as of 2019, it is the 3rd busiest station on the London Underground, served by four different lines - Bakerloo, Jubilee, Northern (Charing Cross Branch) and, obviously, Waterloo & City line. It is located beneath anothe Waterloo station, National Rail station. In 1898 W&C line was opened, as a shortcut, a drain for the London and South Western Railway's services to the City of London. This line was actually a part of the national railway network (and later British Rail) up until the privatisation in 1990s. The Bakerloo line station was opened in 1906, Charing Cross, Euston and Hampstead Railway (today Charing Cross branch of the Northern line) station 20 years later, in 1926 and the Jubilee line station of course in 1999.
