Maliesingel, this type of an on-road bike lane is called Fietsstrook in Dutch. There are two cycle lanes, one in each direction, with a narrow strip in the middle available for the traffic. The motorists are supposed to go in the middle and use the cycle lane when the other car approach from the opposite direction.
