Unfortunately, I went quickly to the bus (for no reason actually, they are very frequent and fast - there is an additional bus road (not lane, road) almost fully between the airport and the city centre (through some neighbourhoods)) and so this is a photo from the bus station behind the railway station. Speaking of buses, they are the sole mean of public transportation in the city (except for the rail, but there are only 3 stations there). The airport is connected with the city centre by a frequent bus service on several lines: 401, 400 (AirportShuttle) and some regional and long-distance (even to Amsterdam). The route between the airport and the city centre runs almost completely on a separate bus road (not lane, road) that goes through several neighbourhoods. It was built during the creation of a guided bus system called Phileas. It was kind of an interesting idea (a guided bus with induction charging) but I haven't seen any of these in Eindhoven and second - there "cheaper than tram and with the same capacity" projects are mostly just relatively shitty BRTs. It's really hard to replace a tram by a bus, especially a modern type of tram. (previous | next | back to album | 2020:09:23 13:03:59 | 8% of an album)
