The buildings were since the beginning planned to be connected with walkways, as architects in the 50s and 60s really liked these. Nonetheless, the master plan of the campus is both monumental and full of green spaces. Many of them were actually created during the reconstruction of both the campus site and the buildings in 2010s. BTW, one of the goals of the reconstruction was to made campus more compact and thus to increase intercompability and to actually make walking between the buildings nicer.
