Theaterplatz. But let's talk about the space we're in right now. The central part of the city of Essen is called Stadtkern (the city nucleus, instead of Stadtmitte – city centre). The Essen Minster is the nucleus of the city on Kettwiger Strasse, on Burgplatz. The church was the church of the women's convent in Essen, founded around 845 by Altfrid, bishop of Hildesheim. Between 1244 and 1865, Essen's city wall almost exactly enclosed the area of today's Stadtkern district. IN the city evolution it morphed into a central shopping location in the city, as the city centres often do. (previous | next | back to album | 2022:06:05 20:42:22 | 61% of an album)
