King George IV statue on Trafalgar Square. King sits on the horse (horses used to be here before they were moved to the Buckingham Palace by this very king). BTW, the plinths on the square have interesting story - all of them were installed in the same year, but just one of these, the very one on the photo, was shortly after filled. The rest remained empty until 1855 (General Sir Charles James Napier, south-west corner) and 1861 (Major-General Sir Henry Havelock, south-east corner). The fourth was meant to have a statue of William IV, but it remains empty and is a space for temporary instalations. (previous | next | back to album | 2020:02:10 14:20:31 | 49% of an album)
