Government Offices Great George Street, construction took place in two phases: the East end was completed in 1908 and the West end was completed in 1917. Originally for the Board of Education, the Local Government Board and the local Ministry of Works Office; HM Treasury moved into the building in 1940 and HM Revenue and Customs in 2004, so currently the building is the headquarters of the departments that collect and spend money. Oh, and also for the Department for Culture, Media and Sport. (previous | next | back to album | 2020:02:10 15:49:37 | 83% of an album)
