Now we are approaching London Transport Museum (not on the photo). It was created in 1980 by Greater London Council (which was responsible for London's transport (including London Transport and without British Rail London transport) at the time. After GLC was abolished it was transfered to London Regional Transport and in 2000 to TfL. Since that the remit of the museum has expanded to cover all aspects of transportation in the city. The other site, located in Acton, is known as the London Transport Museum Depot and is principally a storage site of historic artefacts that is open to the public on scheduled visitor days throughout the year.
