The buses scheme in London is quite interesting. The bus system is managed by the TfL subsidiary called, well, London Buses, which was formed during the creation of the TfL and Greater London Authority in 1999. It was previously managed by the LRT (London Regional Transport). The carriers are however private and the lines are distributed to them during a tendering system in which operators bid for routes in return for a set price per route operated. There are, as for 15 May 2020) 673 bus lines in the Greater London area and some surrounding counties. (previous | next | back to album | 2020:02:11 09:42:10 | 66% of an album)
