In 1974 the national government decided to take over the operating deficits of the municipal transport companies and to pay for the additional costs connected to the trolleybuses, as compared to the regular buses. The network was further expanded in the second half of the 70s and in the 80s. In the 90s the operating company was merged several times, in 1999 it finally became a part of Connexxion. In 2004 the infrastructure went into the ownership of the municipalities, as at that time public tenders in public transportation became compulsory. In the second half of 1990s and later the network was extensively modernized. (previous | next | back to album | 2020:09:24 19:26:52 | 82% of an album)
