This is Dreischeibenhaus, is a 95-metre office building, located on August-Thyssen-Straße. It was also known as the Thyssenhaus or Thyssen-Hochhaus owing to its former use as the headquarters of the Thyssen and ThyssenKrupp groups. It is among the most significant examples of post-war modernist International style and a symbol of the West Germany's Wirtschaftswunder, which is why I like this building, because it connects to my family memories what a Western Place(tm) is. It was one of the first skyscrapers to be completed in Germany after WW2, between 1957 and 1960. (previous | next | back to album | 2022:06:05 18:37:37 | 71% of an album)
