The funeral of Paweł Adamowicz, the mayor of Gdańsk | 2019-01-19

He was killed during a charity event on Sunday, stabbed three times by a man, who entered the scene illegaly. His last words were "Gdańsk is generous, Gdańsk shares the goodness, Gdańsk wants to be the city of solidarity. I thank you very much for that, you were on the streets and squares, you were giving money, you were volunteers. It is the wonderful time, when we share the goodness. You are very kind. Gdańsk is the most marvelous city around the world. Thank you very much.". A minute later he was on his knees, he died on Monday, in a hospital.
