Köln: A-side
First part of the sightseeing in Köln, Cologne, the city created by Romans (Colonia Claudia Ara Agrippinensium), made the seat of the archbishop in the times of Charlemagne, the seat of the Electorate of Cologne (until 1288, when the city was made the Free Imperial City and the electorate capital moved to Bonn), later the part of the Prussian province of Rheinland and now the largerst city in the state of Nordrhein-Westfalen and fourth-most populous city in the Bundesrepublik Deutschland.
The B-side is focused on the old town (Altstadt-Nord mostly – this is where the Cathedral is, but Altstadt-Süd as well) with a small addition of the Deutz neighbourhood on the other side of the river.
