Het Spoorwegmuseum

A wonderful railway museum located just next to the city centre. Utrecht is an important railway junction on the map of the Netherlands and Utrecht Centraal is actually the busiest station on the whole NS network. Comparing it to my local situation, it's Tczew of the whole Netherlands, many-many trains stop there while going between other important locations it also provides many important connections. Well, similarly to Tczew, it's in the middle of the area served.

But what was I… yes, the museum. It was established in 1927 and since 1954 has been housed in the "Maliebaan station", a former railway station. It was remodelled between 2002 and 2005. The royal waiting room was moved there during that renovation for example.
