Stratford International, a station on HS1 line (and also the terminus of a DLR branch). As the name suggests, no international services stops there (and it would be rather redundant, St Pancras is really close). The station is however served by Southestern trains operating on HS1. You can change at Ebbsfleet or Ashford (or St Pancras, but, y'know) to the international trains. And the line is nicely used by commuters, who go there from Kent, take one stop to Stratford (or just go through the shopping centre) and there change to a plethora of trains. The station is located near the centre of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. BTW, even during the Olympics they didn't make any international stops there (which would be quite beneficial, imagine having a direct connections to the Olympics site from Liege, Paris or Brussels), because of the Javelin shutter service that ran 8 times per hour between St Pancras and Ebbsfleet. That a HS train every 7.5 minutes, it's like S-Bahn here in Gdansk where I live. (previous | next | back to album | 2020:02:11 14:58:51 | 7% of an album)
