Ah yes, 2020, when the travelling is no more… or is it? I used the opportunity that the (postponed) anime convention DoKomi 2020 gave me and went for a western expedition to the North Brabant, central part of North Rhine–Westphalia and to the West-Berlin. Oh yes, it is indeed a western journey, because as I was born and lived since in the former Eastern Block, I know some old associations with the west. For me and my family it was always the region of Cologne that defined the westerness of the western Germany and the Western Block, so much so the name of the trip is, well, "West Journey" in Kölsch, the distinct dialect/language of Cologne.
