Chapter 4 – My expectations were wrong as I expected, but did you know that a train between the neighbourhood at the end of the world and almost the city centre takes just 4 minutes?
Osiedle Wilno (Vilnius Neighbourhood) in the edge of the city, but it lies on the Vilnius and Petersburg railway, the railway that is straight, direct and without any stops inbetween, so it's just 4 minutes to Praga-Północ, almost in the city center. I was almost not late for a meeting with my friend near Pole Mokotowskie metro station (I was late only because I made a small mistake while checking the schedule – it was the right moment for the railway company to change from the rush hours schedule to the regular one).
And yeah, it's pretty interesting from a standpoint of architecture and urban planning. And the station is fine. And also the street names and other things are inspired by Vilnius, by its history and monuments.
