Station 1 – Kyiv – Day 3 – Initiation
The first part of the third day in the city was focused on the visiting the sites of the authority, because why not. But first, a breakfast in Podil, followed by the walk next to the Dnieper, with Parkovy bridge included. Later we crossed the Khreshchatyi Park to see the Dynamo stadium and the headquarters of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, followed by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine… which was a surprisingly small building, compared to the Prime Minister and President offices (the later has his third palace next to the parliament building, because why not). After that, we moved to the district of Lypky, where the headquarters of the National Bank of Ukraine is located, as well as some courts. We decided however, that courts can wait, but the Transport Museum cannot, so after a short metro ride we arrived to the Politekhnichnyi instytut metro station, on the Peremohy Avenue, where the museum is located. Unfortunately, it was closed, no idea why to be honest, it could be because of COVID, but of course – no information was provided onlne. We went back to Lypky in regret and we continued on checking out the courts, including the Council of Judges of Ukraine (my friend is a lawyer, so it was important to him) and the Supreme Court. After a short and pleasant walk in other parts of the Petschersk Raion we encountered the Raion's administrative office and the supreme administrative court. I finish this part on Arsenalna Square.
