Jaworzyna Śląska (Königszelt) – do you see this grassland? It's a great location to build a railway station

This town was created during the construction of a railway between Wrocław and Świebodzice by the Breslau–Schweidnitz–Freiburger Eisenbahngesellschaft. As the name suggests, the rail line was meant to go through Świdnica (Schweidnitz). However, during that time, Świdnica was considered a fortress (Festung Schweidnitz) and according to the Prussian law, they couldn't build a large railway on a main line there, but it had to have a shunting station before and the fortress had to be connected with this shunting station via a viaduct (so it can be easily destroyed)… and on this site there was a relatively flat grassland just next to Świdnica, so they built it there. The German name of the town is Königszelt, which means “the royal tent”, as during the Seven Years War, in 1761, Frederick the Great (the King in Prussia at the time, later he took the title of the King of Prussia) stayed there with his army. He stayed of course in a tent, thus the name.
